Guess whose back? Back again. Boyd is back. Tell a friend.
Guess whose back? Guess whose back? Guess whose back? Der Der Der.
Boyd is back at Machynlleth Comedy festival. Back in the warm embrace of the Welsh Hills and your kind eyes and smiles. Back for the fifth year in a row. Even though one year he threw up in a bin in front of Gareth Richards. Even though one year he announced his retirement from comedy live onstage. Even though every year he tells Owen Niblock he is going to see his show and then never manages it. Even though he’s been shunned by most of the comedy establishment for being consistently inconsistent behind the mic. He’s back. He’s had a a bit of time off. He’s seen God in the face of a storm cloud on the great plains of the US Midwest. He’s almost got his act together. This really is it.
Come and see all your favourite Boyd comedy hits fashioned together into a story about storm-chasing before it goes on to create minor ripples at other less friendly, less open-minded, less good-looking comedy festivals around the country. Heavy on the pathos, heavy on the shambles, heavy on the titters.
Probably won’t be doing the bit with the yoghurt this time.
“If he put the effort in, Chris Boyd would be one of the most exciting acts in the country” – James Acaster
