ROSE: Rose has been making people laugh for seven years as one sixth of sketch group Lady Garden and then as one third of sketch group Birthday Girls (whose show ‘Party Vibes’ was a sell-out at both Machfest and at the Edinburgh Festival 2014). She is now making her solo Machfest debut as the whole of stand up comedian Rose Johnson. She’s from Devon and mostly tells stories with names like ‘The Sauna Incident’ and ‘The Kebab on the Bus’ about her mad family, her forays into the acting world, and her experiences of life in the big city. The Metro has called her ‘naturally funny’ so you can only imagine what she’s capable of when she’s actually planned stuff.

ANNIE: Annie has been told she has the face of an angel and the mouth of a gutter. She is one half of double-act, Twins (not yet seen on TV), and is half a person in her own right. Annie will be on stage for half an hour because that is what has been agreed. It won’t all be gold but it could be, couldn’t it?
