The Wholly Viable

Archived show
This show is from a previous year's festival
Phil Kay, the Scottish legend, mirth maker, storyteller, shambling and rambling psychadelicious man is an ideal festival show. He’s all over the place following his nose and speaking of his day and singing songs about you the crowd. He’s also telling all the best stories from 25 Edinburgh Fringes in a row – Glastonburys – ..Buying Machees in Venezuela during a revolution…..Ping Pong with Snow Patrol…Being rubbish on QI, Twice..Chased around the No 6 festival by security…..Storming Edinburgh Castle naked….Arguing with the Police from his bath….Come see all of his manic, moment based spontaneous humour and up to the minute stand-up. Phil even won Best Stand-Up at the British Comedy Awards once years ago. He had his own Channel 4 show.
“..mesmerising headf*** genius.” TimeOut London
“Phil Kay’s been doing storytelling in his stand-up since before it was recognised as a sub-genre of the current scene…” The Times
“The man remains one of the most consistently brilliant and uncompromising comedians of his and future generations.” Metro
“In many ways, Phil Kay is the spirit of the Fringe. He’s a manic, funny, shambolic, Scottish, hairy hobgoblin of an exhibitionist, and embodies any adjective you care to ascribe to the festival. Witnessing his performance at midnight in amidst the revel ofhappy drunks is an electric experience, and the crowd are in hysterics from the start.” The Scotsman
