Circus performers never fake it, the skills are real, the danger is real the knives are sharp the fire is hot. Mary Bijou for this one night only, will try to fake it just for you. Can a man become King Kong? George will try. Can stone statues come alive for an acrobatic session? Can Alise make hula hoops into moving art? Can Dino sell you a book on motherhood? Can Vreni be the perfect fem? We will fake it. See this melon? See this bare flesh? See these sharpened swords?… Actually this is not faked. Even we have boundaries of faking it.

A night of cabaret if Monty Python met circus performers in a blender on the liquify setting.

Mary Bijou is an immigrant driven cavalcade of talent. Born from the mind of American George Orange and Austrian Anna Sandrueter. Both former NoFit State performers looking for an alternative kind of entertainment reflecting their eclectic lives. They founded Mary Bijou in 2010 because they realised Cardiff just didn’t have the combination of circus, live art, drag, dance and comedy that was their experience.
