A cowardly new hour of skin-deep emotional vacuity, Sam (Nicoresti) attempts to be as funny as possible for 50 minutes without once resorting to narrative, multimedia, or dramatic convention. Can it be done? To speculate would constitute a framing device, which would completely invalidate the entire premise – of which there isn’t one.
