Food and Drink

Here at Machynlleth Comedy Festival we are passionate about great quality, locally sourced food. So, we’ve gone and sourced a whole host of deliciously local food, drink and treats to keep you happily nourished in body as well as spirit!

The West Coast festival bar will be serving local ale, cider, wine, water and juice. Amongst the many drinks on offer you’ll find Old Monty Cider – a multiple award winning still cider produced in Mid Wales, using traditional methods and locally sourced apples. Aber Valley Apple Juice – a locally produced juice pressed from hand-picked Discovery, Cox’s Orange Pipin and Diamond Jubilee apples. Dwr Cerist – a clear and pure natural mineral water from the home of the legendary Welsh Princes… Machynlleth! The Waen Brewery are also back with the much-loved festival ale bar, including one brewed especially for the festival! On the lawn of Y Plas you’ll find  Matilda’s Bakehouse serving up delicious wood fired pizzas and The Curry Stall where Mick will be serving authentic Asian dishes using locally sourced ingredients. You can eat on the lawn or take a seat inside the West Coast Tent. Also look out for the Benporium pop-up pop-corn stall and  be sure to try some of the legendary Welsh candy fleece!
This year our beloved leopard print tent on the lawn at Owain Glyndwr will host the Vintage Vision Tearoom serving tea, coffee and some mouthwatering homemade cakes. This area also welcomes the return of the Burger Shack serving a range of magnificent Elvis-inspired burgers & suitably scrumptious ice cream cones.

The town of Machynlleth has many fine pubs, restaurants, cafes and takeaways, including Quarry Café, a vegetarian wholefood restaurant serving delicious organic meals, drinks and snacks and Royal House deli and licenced tearoom.  Pick up an information sheet at box office and start exploring what the beautiful town has to offer.
