BBC Radio are coming to Machynlleth Comedy Festival
The festival is very excited to announce that BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club will be broadcasting daily from the festival as well as coverage from BBC Wales’ Jamie and Louise show on the Friday.
The comedy legend that is Arthur Smith will be spending the entire weekend at the festival, talking to comedians, exploring the town and trying to capture some of the unique atmosphere and fun that makes the event so special. As well as this, a special free stand-up showcase will be recorded on the Saturday morning of the festival for broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra and BBC Radio Wales. Tickets for this event will be available very soon. It will take place from 10:30am – 12:30pm on the Saturday.
And of course, we couldn’t let Arthur Smith come all the way to Machynlleth and not have him do a show, and so we’re incredibly pleased to announce “A Little Bit of Arthur at Night” will be taking place in the Tabernacle on the opening night of the festival.
The festival is proud to be working in partnership with BBC Radio 4 Extra and BBC Radio Wales.
