MOTHERHOOD – IDENTITY – DRY SHAMPOO – SAUSAGE ROLLS
When “oddball genius” (Chortle) Caroline Mabey became a parent, she discovered that idiocy and egomania are genetic. Held hostage by her baby, she’s become a victim of Stockholm- or is it Tourettes?- syndrome. Here she bursts out of confinement to delight and traumatise audiences in this thrillingly daft one-woman stand-up fun-blast.
First previewed here a year ago, Chaos is a Friend of Mine returns to Machfest after visiting Edinburgh 2014.
“The slightly deranged offspring of a menage a trois between Vic Reeves, Harry Hill and Floella Benjamin” Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard
“An absolute delight to watch. Fantastically ditzy and spectacularly absurd… Leaves you feeling a little bit dizzy and a big bit happy” The Skinny
“Truly scrumptious… kooky, quirky and delicious” Time Out
“Lo-fi comedy with balls… will endure in the memory long after you’ve forgotten every word from the big-name stand-ups.” Steve Bennett, Chortle
